Morning at leisure. This afternoon you enjoy a city tour of Guayaquil. Highlights include: Guayaquil's cemetery with its marble sculptures; Centennial Park that honors the heroes of Guayaquil's independence; Bolivar Park, with its equestrian statue of South America's liberator, Simón Bolívar; the neo-gothic Metropolitan Cathedral; a walk along Guayaquil's new and ravishing Malecon 2000, a 2.5 Km. (1.5 mile) waterfront; and a visit to the oldest neighborhood of Guayaquil, Las Peñas, which has been beautifully restored with bright colored wooden constructions housing many art galleries. Hotel. Day 3: Guayaquil to the Galapagos Islands
